OVERVIEW

Located in Boise, Idaho, Glancey Rockwell & Associates provides design, planning and architecture services for a wide variety of both public and private clients.

Led by Principal Architects James T. Glancey and Peter H. Rockwell our talented staff of six adeptly handles multi-million dollar flagship facilities as well as commercial tenant improvements and signature homes.  We use today’s electronic design and drafting tools augmented by strong visual and hand drawing experience, resulting in intelligent, beautiful designs that are uniquely tailored to our clients specific needs.  Our diversity in both our staff and project types provides a wealth of experience and strengths that serve our clients and our community now and into the future.

 We approach every project with the belief that good communication, an excellent team, and participation by all stakeholders in the design will produce the most successful project.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

Glancey Rockwell & Associates is a corporate member of the U.S. Green Build Council (USGBC).  We pride ourselves on our dedication to sustainable design and principals.  We were green before green was cool.  Every project is approached with the belief that sustainable design not only benefits the owner directly; but the community as a whole. Our design of a 48 unit apartment in Eastern Idaho received the first LEED Home Platinum Certification for the State of Idaho.

SPECIAL EXPERTISE & CREDITS

Our designs have been featured in local and national publications including The Idaho Construction Review, Sun Valley Home Magazine and Builder News Magazine.

Members of our staff hold membership with the U.S. Green Build Council (USGBC), American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architects Registration Board (NCARB), Construction Specifiers Institute (CSI), and the Idaho Association of Building Officials (IDABO).

Peter Rockwell holds positions on the Idaho State Board of Architectural Examiners and Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise Building Commission.

James Glancey is a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional and current Secretary/Treasurer for the AIA Idaho Central Section Chapter.

Glancey Rockwell & Associates is licensed in the states of Idaho, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
